Became independent after working at an independent research provider covering a broad range of small- and mid-cap stocks. Translated numerous investor materials for Japanese companies, principally earnings-call transcripts.
Around 2020
Began interpreting meetings between Japanese companies and overseas investors.
Around the same time, began publishing company analysis focused on Japanese small caps with limited analyst coverage.
April 2021
Analysis of Japanese small caps was featured in the US financial publication TheStreet.
2021–2023
Continued publishing analysis of Japanese small caps and undervalued companies through social media. This led overseas investors to inquire about arranging company meetings and interpretation during visits to Japan.

Established Japan Investor Interface Co., Ltd.
Launched the business with a focus on IR translation and interpretation, and support for overseas investors’ company meetings.
Autumn 2023
Supported a US-based investor’s company-research visit to Japan, arranging and interpreting about 15 meetings in Tokyo, Osaka, Shizuoka and Gunma.
Then supported a Hong Kong-based hedge fund’s research visit, arranging and interpreting about 25 meetings, mainly in Tokyo and the surrounding area.
January 2024
Began translating analyst reports for a securities firm specializing in Japanese small- and mid-cap stocks. Subsequently also interpreted investor meetings arranged through the firm.
May 2026
Relaunched the corporate website and resumed publication on Substack through JII’s official research outlet, Japan Investor Interface.
Clarified the current service offering: IR translation and interpretation, with consultation available from the planning stage of English disclosure.
